KasbaPeth Ganapti is the loacl deity of Pune,i.e the first honored Ganpat.It attracts a lot of devotees daily.The Kasba Ganesh is one of the ancient shrines of Lord Ganesh in Pune.

History of Temple:
It's said that queen Jijabai, mother of great Chhatrapati Shivaji started the construction of this temple.Dadoji Kondev, a loyal employee of Shahajiraje Bhonsale and Shivaji’s teacher informed Jijabai that he has found a very beautiful idol of Ganesha in Pune.Afterwards Jijabai ordered to create the temple and have this idol in it.It was much later in the nineteenth century when Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak imparted the status of premier god to Kasba Ganesh.
Speciality of Temple:
Kasba Ganesh is the first privileged Ganapati in the city.As a result of this, during the time of Ganesha immersion procession during Ganeshotsav, Kasba Ganpati gets the preference ahead of all the other Ganesh Mandals in Pune.
